Fred speaks to WYSP - 07.02.09

Calling in from Budapest on tour, Fred Durst spoke to WYSP/Philadelphia's Danny Bonaduce to discuss the return of his band. Durst said the reunion tour started with European festivals "to gear up for a U.S. tour in the fall."

Fred also briefly discussed the new material for the band's upcoming album, calling it "extremely heavy and bruising...a little bit more power to the riffs."

Limp Bizkit confirmed for Sonisphere UK - 06.30.09

After hearing the rave reports of their recent festival performances throughout Europe, being inundated with requests on the Sonisforums, and blasting "Significant Other" at full volume, it is with great pleasure that we can confirm Limp Bizkit will be taking the stage at Knebworth on Sunday 2nd August. This year's reformation is one of the most talked about comebacks in recent history, and if their storming set at this year's Download is anything to go by, is set to be the most successful reformation of the year. Frontman Fred Durst comments: "We are honored to be a part of such an event as Knebworth and even more excited to be returning to England so soon. UK rocks hard!!"

Wes @ Bucharest 2009 - 06.29.09

Here's a clip of "Break Stuff," from last night's gig in Bucharest, Romania. I was there, 2nd row, as you can read 2 news posts below, but for anyone interested, watch the clip.

At the 3:17 mark, that dude on stage goes to Wes and gets owned. Worth a watch. Too bad the guy who filmed it should never pick up a camera ever again. If you have better footage of the incident, or the whole performance, let me know.

Watch

Great performance, Wes. devil.gif

Limp Bizkit Fan-Made Remix Album - 06.28.09

Hello Armpitter's
I just wanna bring to your attention that our own Forum member Mr. Kennedy has made a Hip Hop remix/compilation album of Limp Bizkit.
As a big hip-hop fan myself I love the Kennedy remixes, and definitely does a better job of Red Light - Green Light than the official Limp Bizkit version (Sorry guys!)

LB @ Bucharest. Wes is amazing - 06.28.09

Alright well, I didn't know if I'd make the gig or not (more info on the forum, not that anyone cares but I like writing about my life so sue me).

I did, and I didn't regret it. I've only seen LB live once, in 2004 I think, in Budapest, Hungary. It was with Mike and it was great (there's a review somewhere here in the news) but I always wanted to see them with Wes so I'm grateful for the opportunity.

Speaking of Wes, he's amazing live. Go see the band live if you can, he's the most energetic guitar player I've ever seen. He nails every riff while doing a lot of movement. I wouldn't be praising him if I wasn't impressed, so mark my words, he owns. I sat in 2nd row, to the right (right in front of him) and all I did was watch him play. Great, great stuff. I hope he noticed me too cause I'm 6'3" and was pretty close and it seemed he was looking at me as well, can't tell for sure cause of all the makeup. tongue.gif

The whole band was great, they sounded great, they were pretty fun. There was a funny moment when some guy ran on stage, danced and hugged with Fred then got an elbow in the chest from Wes (don't boo, fucker deserved it). Actually, Wes was really mad. Or so it seemed.

Overall I don't want to bore you. If you can see LB live, do it. At least for the sake of seeing Wes do his thing. If I ever had any doubts about Wes and his part in LB, now they are completely shattered. Wes IS the man.

The whole band still has it as a matter of fact. Great for the nostalgia factor.
